The main functions of PalSci are to:

  • DEVELOP a dynamic, collegial and supportive research and learning environment for palaeosciences researchers
  • FACILITATE and encourage research opportunities especially cross-disciplinary activities
  • SUPPORT and mentor researchers and students in their research and careers across the breadth of the palaeosciences, and 
  • ENGAGE in and support its members to participate in discourse about the role of the historical natural sciences in scientific and social discussions about contemporary environmental concerns
